does his thumb mean PL?
this looks like a pretty high grade too with the cheek being so clean and field crispness.
what do you think my price point should be?

It's hard to tell for sure but it looks like a hard hit on the neck and the date. That's an odd shadow on the 7.

I don't know if I like the look of this coin from these photos PL or not something just seems off. My guess is the pics were juiced in some way

Actually his flesh is the right color so I don't think juiced. I think I'm seeing a bluish tint from the kind of fluorescent high intensity light he's using

Lovely surfaces on this one, sure looks Prooflike but they can't show you if the entire field is like that, which is required. 63PL is (you can look this up as easily as I) maybe a $150 coin in a reputable slab.

yea I did look it up, but based on photograde I put this around a 64-64+. I didn't notice the small squiggly lines on the cheek though which would drop it to a 63 at best. overall I think its a nice coin but with the bid at 95 and 5hrs left I don't think theres enough room for me to get it. thanks guys

As an 1878-S, even in this condition the coin is borderline slabbable.
