I have checked my change and been having everyone one else in my family check their change for about 3 years now. After about a year or two of checking I came to a realization that I probably will never find silver in circulation because they are so scarce, but I still checked my change just in case. So, my brother dumped 2 quarters, 2 Pennies, and a dime in change on the floor, from a purchase he made. I glanced at them, then I took a closer look at the dime because it was all worn. I looked at the year and it was 1962 ! My brother didnt care so I asked if I could buy it from him for $1.10 and he said sure. I still can't believe it, my first silver find!

How worn was it? My theory is that any silver still found in circulation are those that were unintentionally reintroduced from someone's collection.

1965-1980's quarters are usually very worn from constant use, but 1960-1964 quarters are often in good condition because they were dumped from someone's collection and despite their age, haven't been in circulation long due to being hoarded when silver prices went up.

Stop looking in change and go look in coin star reject trays I bet you will find more silver there! You can still look in change but like you said 3 years and one silver dime... Good Job though :-)
