The most die cracks I've seen on a coin is one I found years ago. It has 9 die cracks on the head:
Some-Lincoln--Die-Cracks-On--The-Head
This die was probably used a lot longer until the die broke apart more. (number 9 is on the neck)

Not often. But the dies were over used in the 1950's wheat cents, thus all the wierd stuff we find these years. Extra value? I don't even have this one saved. Just an event that happened during that time.
