Been looking for a nice '35D cent to replace my current XF-AU details cleaned piece in my book. The vertical reverse scratches in the field sort of concern me that the image quality could be hiding a cleaned coin that the seller didn't state.

But, roughly 21,000 positive feedbacks in 1 year.. I like to think you can trust people with lots of positive feedback, but yet again, you really never know.

I don't know about wheats, but that seller is/was pretty notorious for cleaning/polishing every piece of silver they touched.
Rest in Peace

It really doesn't look cleaned to me. but a heck of a lot of chatter both sides. I would stay away.

It is a fairly common date and easily obtainable in BU, so if you have doubts, I would probably look for a different coin.

Price is too high. Long scratch on Lincoln's jaw bothers me. Reverse issue looks like die polishing lines to me.

Agree with others, why buy from a questionable seller?

Seller is well known within certain circles as a "buyer beware" with a potential upside if you're willing to gamble some money.

From the listing:

"12. Cleaning: Except for those coins in sealed U.S. Mint and Proof Sets, we assume most coins have been cleaned to some degree in their lifetime and we have no proven way that any coin has never been cleaned. Under our assumption, we will gladly give you our opinion if a coin has been cleaned upon your request."

At least they have a No Questions Asked return and refund policy.

To the coin: Looks LDS, chatter as noted above, reverse has major polishing (look at the ONE CENT), cool die chip ? above the I in UNITED. Rims are chewed up pretty good, lots of marks. Color - not my area, someone else can opine on that.

Something about the coin looks off, as though it's something trying to pass itself off as something else. I can't put my finger on it.

This one looks dipped or cleaned in some way. The luster seems artificial.
