This is one of those coins that have some problems, but is much better than the coin I currently in that hole. And in my opinion, at a good price. The problem, it was in a bad quality 2X2 flip for many years. It acquired some green and black spots. There was a attempt to fix it, before the coin got to me. Any opinions welcome.

Lot of reads ... No replies.
Like I said ... I see the issues with this coin.
But it does look better in hand then in pictures.
For me ... I can live with coins like this, if the price is right.

Very nice and shiny! Not every coin is perfect, and that is what makes each coin awesome.

I read your post earlier at work and could not see your photos. I'm home now so I'll say that I would be very happy with that T1 SLQ. That 3CN however is outstanding. Nice upgrades!

The 1917 looks nice in its spot in your 7070.
One of the things I don't like about coin photography is that their unnatural size shows every single imperfection, I have hit delete on many a coin picture because it doesn't capture the real look of the coin. Your 1917 is a perfect example - seen in its normal size in the album allows you to see the overall coin rather than focusing on any "problems".
The 3c Nickel looks good too!

Thanks all ...
I soaked the SLQ in acetone for a couple hours. Then some Verdi-care.
The black spots seem a little lighter.
I really like how it looks in the Dansco now.
The coin that was in that hole, was one of the five coin in my 7070 that I did not like.
After switching out these two coins today, I like the set just a little better. But then I look at my 20 cent piece, bust dime and bust quarter and Think how much better the album would be with them upgraded.

Your 1917 LSQ seems to me to be in UNC. condition except for the darn spots. You have a full head on it and you can see the toes. I think it is better than any LSQ I have(except for those spots} and I have all but five of them and you probably know which ones. It would be worth seeing if some professional has a way to clean that coin without killing it. It should be worth $200-250 if not for the spots. If it could be cleaned for $50 it would be worth it . Not a rare coin but rare in that basic condition. JMO

You cracked open that 3c piece noooo!
Even with the "spots" on the SLQ, it still looks like a very nice upgrade. Great buys, GR58!

This is why I have bought and replaced 4 coins in my 7070 after it was supposedly "done"! I think I am done again but I am sure it is only a matter of time before I get the bug to upgrade another coin.
