Quote: Well it's been a while but today's find were definitely not disappointing! Agreed. A very nice mix. Quote: In my opinion, these four £2 coin will be met with scepticism. They do look a bit beat up. I am not that familiar with them, are they legit?

Those £2 are indeed 100% legit, they just look bad Today had less action than last week but probably because of the forecast promising rain later on. Despite that, there was no obvious shortage of coins 10 Centavos, Cuba 2008 10 Feniga, Bosnia and Herzegovina 2013 50 Fils, UAE 2013 1 Lats, Latvia 1992 1 Peso, Mexico 1986 20 Pesos, Mexico 1985 50 Pence, UK 1998 & 2001 1 Pound, UK 1990 ½ Dinar, Tunisia 2011 1 Dinar, Tunisia 2007 5 Dollars, Hong Kong 2013 5 Kroner, Norway 1998 & 2009 (x2) 10 Kroner, Norway 1995 1 Dollar, Singapore 2013 A bargain again at 35 kr total, I suppose the only thing missing otday was some silver, but hey, it can't be got every week

Nice pick-ups. You always manage to find a few things I have never seen before.
So, you have another nice batch of coins for your collection -- enjoy!

Well, forgot to post this yesterday, time to do it today instead After a sunny day at the market, the yield was great again. I find it amazing how the same seller keeps on delivering bags of new coins seemingly every week, but I'm only happy about that 50 Santimu, Latvia 1992 10 Korun, Czech Republic 1994 50 Euro Cents, Spain 1999 1 Lira, Turkey 2011 20 Kroner, Denmark 2004 & 2007 10 Stotinki, Bulgaria 1962 10 Leke, Albania 1996 20 Leke, Albania 1996 500 Lire, Italy 1961 400 Reis, Brazil 1901 50 Pence, UK 1997 (x2), 2002 & 2004 1 Pound, UK 1990 (x2) & 1993 For the cost of this, 40 kr, it's a sheer steal. The two danish 20 kroenr coins prettty much paid for this bunch and the Italian 500 Lire is .835 silver. Best find, definitely, but the two Albanian coins are long overdue, amazed to finally get some! Another successful week, let's see what next week brings

Nice finds. I like that Italian Lire -- thought it might be silver, so I looked it up....and then read the rest of your post.

Quote: I like that Italian Lire -- thought it might be silver, so I looked it up.... See, there's the bargain hunting attitude! Get a feeling and take a chance! It's actually my second coin of this type - I spotted my first online and I bought it for very little. I.e. a bargain type! I must though say, of all Italian coins out there, this design doesn't quite cut it. The ordinary design of the coin is much better, in my opinion. This is afterall a commemorative.

Well, today definitely had much more business than usual. Three sellers had much new stuff to check out, and subsequently buy. I ended out spending a total of 250 kr today, but I sold to a guy I buy from and sell to at the market Deutschemarks for 141 kr, so total spent today is 109 kr. I think the images will tell you how worth that was. First up is the worst. Common demontized mostly European former change. Value is scrap value, with a little clock mechanical piece thrown into a bunch I bought. Next up is some assorted exchange-rate only coins that aren't that much more interesting. Still an amazing buy for what's included. Pictured: 0,50 LVL 0.10 DEM 100 ESP 0.06 EUR 0.05 JOD 20 NOK 20 DKK 30 HKD 1.58 GBP 15.00 CHF And this is the 'interesting' batch! 10 Øre, Denmark 1905 10 Øre, Denmark 1916 25 Penniä, Finland 1917 25 Øre, Norway 1914 25 Øre, Norway 1921 & 1922 10 Centavos, Argentina 1913 10 Centimes, Monaco 1977 2 Pence, Gibraltar 1999 5 Pence, Guernesey 1992 1 Basketball, Lithuania 2011 (very flashy design! Love it!) 50 Öre, Sweden 1949 25 Cents, Canada 1967 (.500 silver) 2 Francs, France 1993 50 Qepik, Azerbaijan (2006) 5 Rand, South Africa 2012 ½ Dinar, Jordan 2000 5 Mark, Germany 1973-J 5 Mark, Germany 1990-J 20 Markaa, Finland 1937 1 Peso, Mexico 1966 And lastly Large silver wedding token (Vikham weds Savitri 8 August 1998) Ø 37mm, 20gr, 2,3mm thickness, deep silver ring tone, lower than a standard European silver crown. Strange. The market time had to end somewhat soon since next up today was to witness the opening ceremony of the new Commuter Rail tunnel in Stockholm, having been built since January 1st 2009. Speeches, musical performances, public displays of the stations and a test ride in between the two stations leading up to tomorrow's service commencement. The only annoying bit was to have a wallet bursting with these coins along with my back pocket filled. A pretty great day
