Any thoughts on this coin? The 1 is clearly missing and under 16x magnification there is no scratching that would indicate the removal of the 1. There does appear to be an extremely faint outline of a 1, but that could be my mind playing tricks!

You can find digits as well as devices affected with a Grease Fill in the die. (the 1 is on the die, just blocked from this strike)
