Just wonderin about this coin. Hard to tell what the date is in hand. Also, I would've chalked it up to be worn if not for the full wheat stalk on the right... That should be better! Weight is about 4 grams, that's as best as I can do at the moment. Edited by ChildOfTheWheat 08/24/2015 08:52 am

Looks worn to me, however with a reverse like that it's gotta be worth something.

What is the weight of your coin? It might be from a thinned planchet?

Wow a 2015 reverse on a 1946 cent. I'd keep that one for sure!

I don't think it's a Greaser because the rim does look weak. Either a thinned planchet or a weak strike,IMHO. John1

Normal weight should be 3.11 grams.

Coop, I was using an analog kitchen scale so it was hard to tell the difference between 1 and 5 grams... Should I get another scale? What do you guys think?

Try comparing it with another normal cent and see what reading you get. (a pre 1982 cent) A zinc cent might help to weigh. But you might need a more accurate scale. (try a jewelry store to see if they can do it four you)

I tried it against a 1944 cent and it came out with the same weight.

So it might/may not be normal in weight. Did you try a Zincoln yet?
