Some of the pictures are horrible but it's the closet I could get with my camera. Liberty and all around the penny is doubling and word God althoug a little blurry you can see the thickness under the G a little better than elsewhere. For now I can only use my iphone to get the pictures but I hope they're good enough to be able to make out what might be going on with this penny.

I would really appreciate any help, thank you.

. Good afternoon

First of all thank you for moving me. I realized last
nigbt after I somehow jumped in to the wrong forum,
but didn't know how to change it. Thank you.

Thank you John1 I was baffled with this one because
first the liberty jumped right out at me. I had ten 1955
pennies I was going through and this one was so different
From the rest. What really made me wonder was
the God with the picture I got on my phone camera
(Of course when I uploaded on my lap top looked more
on the blurry side) but I compared the god to the link I
believe one of the others had shared and compared the
G and o looked more doubled die than the other examples.
With the I phone and lighting it's hard to get that same shot
Up close and have it clearer, so I really wasn't sure how to take
this 1955 compared to the others I have here. I do have one other
but it's the poor man version of the 1955. This one though really
made me question it.

Thank you but both, the really appreciate your input.

Keep in mind the devices on the right side of the cent the date will wear to the nearest rim. So the area you would expect to see distorted is the devices that face the rim. The LIBERTY will be worn on the left side of these devices. The motto will be worn at the tops of the devices. (Your coin is showing me exactly that) But here is a Zincoln what shows this perfectly:

This is a single squeeze die example. Your coin is the older muti-hubbed coin. But they suffer the same die wear direction:

These are often called poor man's doubled dies. But they are not hub doubled. Just extreme die wear because the 1950's Wheat cent were used beyond normal retirement. No extra premium for these.
