Just arrived! That dark area around the "OF" is basically dirt. There's a lot of grit around the coin. Pardon the glare in areas as I took the pictures through a slab and I'm horrible at dealing with that sort of stuff.

How's-This-1875-CC-20¢? How's-This-1875-CC-20¢?

I'd rather see dirt than something entirely unpleasant...cleaning.
Given the market I've scoured lately, a coin with that much original patina is beautiful.

Very nice

It is very telling about the survival rate that a coin with a mintage of 133,920(1875CC) is worth more than a coin with a mintage of 14,640(1876)

Nice find Prethen you can send it to me next Christmas.

I'd say it's a strong F+, solely based upon comparing it to my recently sold 75-S http://webpages.charter.net/nelrak/...etSheet6.jpg which we decide in this forum was VF. Of course, I tend to be hard on coins when I grade them due being a person that used to buy NNC graded coins. NNC grade of MS60.

I feel it's at least a 30 if not 35. But, look at the holder it's in!
