My name is Alleng and I am from Louisiana. I am new to coin collecting. I am concentrating on silver coins now, since truly, it's all I can afford.
I am up for helpful hints.
Look forward to communicating with all of you.

Well... "silver coins" is a fairly broad term. Since you are from the US are you talking pre-1965 90% coins? Or silver commemoratives? Or American Silver Eagles? Or Silver Proofs? Lots to choose from. Are you stacking or filling out folders/albums? Or have you not gotten far enough to figure all of that out yet?

If I had to recommend one silver set to start with, it would be the Franklin halves. It's a pretty small set and they're readily available and affordable in nearly every condition/grade.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Today silver spot = $14.66/oz
This day in 2014 spot = $19.50/oz
This day in 2011 spot = $44.00/oz

We like these Cuauhtemoc cinco pesos for their silver content. At .86 oz, it's more silver than US Morgan/Peace silver dollars!
