Hi:

Can anyone give me info on this token? Also appears to be a clipped planchet.

Approx 17.5mm, 1.8 grams

hmmm, Tryna.. it looks like the search result returned hits and not a phrase, so not a match. So, I'm not sure that is it. I've tried finding some history of Hearn Street, but no luck. Do you know what the symbol on the token is? I don't recognize it.

I'd suggest a crude caduceus. The symbol of medecine used by medical and apothecary type companies

It looks like a jeton that was attached to a bottle or a box with a little piece of rope

Well, there have been a few good ideas, but I can't follow up because there seems to be absolutely no information on this token.

- I know it has a clip, therefore struck from a planchet.
- 17.5mm, 1.8 grams
- Hearn St. is in London, England

any other info is greatly appreciated.

Hearn Street is now in E.C.2 the part of London called Shoreditch. The only reference I could find to Hearn and Co is hidden behind a private password protected newspaper archive. The only clue it gave was that the file finished at 1900, so it's likely that the token was late C19th. Also Hearn & Co appeared to be warning rivals that they were the only official......
After that, I lost it. Official suppliers, importers? Can't find access to a Kellys Trade Directory for London of the period, the 1895 would be good if anyone can find it.

Wow! Fantastic research, alganbagerap! The token does look like that period. Hopefully, some more information can be found. It's getting intriguing..

Thanks,
Steve

is this disc of any value, I have seen it posted on Words of Coins , it is from a London soap factory which was bought out by Lever Bros.
I am curious to know how you came by it?
