I agree with AU55. Just slightest wear on jewels. Nice find.

Quote:I saw this and thought mine was better http://www.pcgs.com/cert/26402077 The 1911 you linked was once part of my collection before I sold it, that's an example of a coin that the PCGS photos did not do justice to at all... That being said, I am sure PCGS would grade your example in the AU 50-55 range, the Canadian services would be much harsher.

I also think AU55. I see slight wear on crown and tips of leaves

thanks guys, I might send it to get slabbed, it only owes me $1 as I pulled it out of a junk lot at a recent local coin show

That's an amazing buy for just $1. I grade AU-55. However, it's not worthwhile to get it slabbed.

Don't waste your time or money sending it in. ICCS Ex F 45 Ngc AU53. Hard to tell from the picture but I think this piece was played with at one time. Still for 70 cents US great hit. It is a nice piece.

Too bad that all of the high points are so bright here. (almost looks rubbed bright)..that is the one negative on this not quite MS coin..
That old coin should be completely dark if it had just been sitting somewhere undisturbed..
