Unknown Late Roman Barbarian Coin? - Coin Community Forum

Because of the small cross. But it also can be umayyad or something else. Does anyone recognize this piece? Report this Post to the Staff

Kamnaskires Pillar of the Community United States 7066 Posts	Posted 09/04/2015 2:04 pm I don't think it's Merovingian...I could be mistaken, but I believe they minted primarily (perhaps exclusively?) in silver and gold. Your coin looks bronze, Vince...is this correct? Report this Post to the Staff

Maybe a short soak and some toothbrush work might reveal more. I am not even sure of the orientation at this point. I am not sure if that is some type of tamgha on the first photos right field.
