What kind of microscope did you get?
It looks like maybe the light is too bright or you need to adjust the filter.

I got the one ssk got from AmScope. It has adjustable lighting and I have it as low as it goes. No filter. John1 |

I just got an Andostar scop and I am having the same issues. Probably will need external lighting.

I have the same issue with my USB microscope (zPix). I've tried to soften the light using rolled tape but still to bright on the lowest setting. Your pic's aren't too bad, John, but that might be the best you can expect. I have plans to try-try-again, but for now, the iPhone zoom gets me most of my shots and taking pic's through one of the oculars of my AmScope does the trick. Good luck dialing in on your device! |

The 2004 DDR's look like Machine Doubling, but with the number of these being the same, it is hub doubling. The hub movement during the die making process, Class 9 snap into the proper position. Coop, thanks for that illustration. That's a new distinction for me that the 2004 DDRs look like MD. Thanks for posting that. Very clear. :)

Cut a circle to fit inside the end of the scope to cover the LED's and then cut the center of that circle out to fit the lens opening.
