... doubt it... D.C. supplies them with everything they need.

Seriously though this is a shocking heist for nowadays. It seems like this is only the thing for movie plots anymore.

I hope we eventually learn the whole story and they get these people soon. One article said there are 350 video cameras on the premises. Its amazing they were not caught and positive IDs made.

Over 20 tonnes of silver, plus associated packaging / crating.
That has to involve sophisictated organization.
Has to have been in part at least, an 'inside job', or at least, the provision of inside information.

Great news - hard to believe someone who stole this much would actually keep it in the area. I would figure they would high tail it thousands of miles away. I hope they get the rest soon.

It's 2015 right?

I want to make sure I didn't jump to 1940 when if the local Sheriff said you did it you were automatically guilty. There is a thing known as the internet and fictitious TV shows such as CSI so even a 5th grader can see the holes in the story and blatant procedural problems starting at day 2 as shown in the "mainstream media" pictures in the link above.

So the 99% are supposed to believe the the police just happened to had a forklift there and some "police officer" if bare handling the evidence?

This has the classic conspiracy government (not sure which one) inside job all over it. Throw the public and media a small teaser AKA 1/3 recovered and find some patsies who get minimal sentences due to mishandled evidence (see above) and then the trail goes cold and the rest of the silver is never found.

I wouldn't be surprised if one of those 50lb bricks of silver aren't sitting on display next to someone stolen Picasso.
