In coin roll hunting, how the heck do you find something as old as 1900? Edited by MichioKaku 09/06/2015 1:38 pm

its mostly luck, and how often you do it. I've personally never found anything older that 1900, but I've found a 1916 Buffalo nickel and a 1920 s Lincoln Cent! keep looking and eventually you'll find something good

Well, let's just say "Volume". Over half a million cents searched, I've found my fair share (okay, maybe a tenth) of wheat cents. I believe I have found every DATE (not MM) of wheat cents CRHing except 1922 and 1943.

Mr. ChildOfTheWheat, I have found over 120 wheat cents in searching about 30,000 cents. The oldest penny I have found was a 1909 vdb penny. Every time I go to the bank, I get 100 dollars in pennies or nickels alternately about every two or three weeks. I am thinking about increasing that to $150 per visit. How many in pennies do you get at one time and how often? Also, where do you live? It is not a creeper question, it is just that you can have exquisite exploits, but it depends on where you live in the country.

I've been searching since, oh, 10/15/14 give or take a month (lol). I started collecting on 9/13/14, as far as I know. I believe I have searched 25-30 boxes... I have found about 1,250 or so but I've sold about 400 of 'em

I average about 18 per box. It really is a crappy day when I only find 5, and a good day when I find 24 or more...

When I went through 10,000 pennies this past weekend I found about 18 in the first box, 14 in the second, 8 in the third, and 5 in the fourth
