I have decided to start a birth year set, and have Tuesday off, so I will visit my 4 "local" coin stores to see what they have. Should be easy since I only have a couple of US from 1959.

Trying to identify the countries/coins led me onto a thread here, which pointed at Numista.com. the advanced search there shows 313 coins.

Question: is there a way to export to excel, is it cut and paste, or is there a better source for a list of coins from a particular year?

Thanks

I am not a member of Numista. I don't know if a member might be able to customize the search result output

The only way I can think of is to add every coin dated 1959 to your Numista collection only to export that to an excel file. I can't think of any other way.

Fuzzy317, you can search for a specific coin by hovering over the 'Catalogue' tab and click on 'search for a coin', switch to 'Advanced Search' and then enter Gregorian date '1959'. That's how to do it

Numista is a great online catalog for world coins

I know about and have used the search for my birth year, and have the pages ready to print. But the output includes pictures and lots of info. I was thinking maybe with a membership you can select which information to include/exclude in the listing.

I guess the only benefit of having a membership there is to track your collection and being able to add/modify the catalog, otherwise it's very guest friendly.

I know you can hide 'quick input' regardless of being a member or not, but otherwise I think that's it.
'Quick input' is this larger area under the coin's basic information with a date and mintage sheet with boxes where you enter the quantity you have of that type, depending on a small range of grades.

I signed up on Numista, then searched for all coins issued in 1959. Came up with 314 or so. the only export, as suggested here seems to be an Excel list of your owned coins as opposed to a searched list.

So, I entered in a qty of 10 each coin under the good category (will change to 1 when I get the actual coin).

This allowed me to export a full list, which I am now modifying in excel...

I might have to give Buymyemu's coin listing suggestion
