This is a 1878 8tf MS62. The coin appears to be the 14.1 alligator eye. If the coin is alligator eye is it worth sending in to be attributed? I am into the coin about $180.

Well its clashed so it would be 14.1a... You can send it to john at vss.Com and he will label it with the VAM for about $5 plus shipping. It's a relatively common VAM though

Thing to looks for is if you had a 14.1 (no clashing) or if it were a 14.1a in pl or dmpl
