The second 9 in the date looks weird, but I'm no expert on these.

Real, harshly cleaned and poorly retoned, mid VF details coin. But I think it's a 1908 altered to 1909. My opinion.

Does look strange. The first two feathers on a genuine example are always weak, and the others are usually strong. Here, all of the feathers look mushy and too far gone compared to the rest of the coin.
Rest in Peace

The mint mark is suspicious, also.

Vague title + Vague description + suspicious mintmark + sketchy obverse + my opinion saying it's definitely fake = Get the heck away, and run.

As mentioned in another thread about this seller, all auctions of common dates are near high res whereas the photos of the 09-S and 22 no D are terrible. Huge read flag.

First thing I looked at was the Mint Mark. Sort of odd. Don't know why coins like this aren't slabbed and graded.

I don't think it's an altered date, the whole coin looks wrong. Mushy rounded details.

I think the date is o.k. but, I believe it's an added mint mark.
Key date coins should always be graded before any one purchases.
