I came across some high grade 1940's walkers. I'd have to say they are probably "AU/MS60". The high point on the observe (breast) is perfect. I see very minor wear on the high point (eagle body) on the back of most of them. The really good AU/BU ones I have put in air-tites. The rest are in the square tubes. Should I bother putting them in 2x2's or would they be safer to just stay in the tubes? I just don't want them to get damaged or worn down. I understand 40's walkers aren't that valuable but these are in overall really good shape.

I would probably put them in 2x2's. I do have some coins in air-tites, but usually save them for unique or higher value coins. If I have a run of multiples of the same coin, storage is easier with 2x2's.

I like the protection air-tities give but once you go down that road you then have to decide the best way to store those. It's funny how we ask ourselves how we should store a coin just to ask how we should store the stored coin. From 2x2's to air-tities to slabs there are many different ways to go about it and the only right answer is the one you yourself can answer.

I've got similar ones and all are in Whitman Albums. Albums are in Zip Lock bags. No problems with toning, tarnishing, etc.
