I will be posting it on ebay tomorrow with a $800 or best offer price. I just need to make a quick buck and there was no way I would turn the set down for that price. I will post pics tomorrow to show you and perhaps gauge some interest.

That's a no-brainer purchase at that price. Even if some of the coins are cleaned/damaged ... still no way to lose if you are looking for a quick profit.
Show us photos of the three keys ... 1886, 1886 and 1912-S. That would be helpful to judge the magnitude of the score.

Paralyze send me an email....if I can sell it to you without ebay fees that'd be better, basically just go through PayPal. I tried to email you on here but it says you don't want emails. Hit me up.

Buying complete set saves the fun of building a set of them. In other series I have done both: bought sets and built them.

There are pros on both sides but I couldn't turn down an opportunity to get a complete set especially with the 85,86, and 12s. Paralyze sent you another email hopefully we can figure something out.

With albums I personally much prefer to buy them whole or just about so aside from big $ ones. For me it's too tedious putting them together one by one. I'd be all over this one if I had any interest in the series.

I already have a complete set of V nickels. :) They're in a Whitman album, and stay there, even the 1885 and 1886, just like my Mercury dime set (no 16-D.) Always looking to upgrade individual coins and use duplicates to trade for other series like Barber coins and Wheats that I need. I haven't completed 1909-1939 yet, about 80%, but I finished the 1945-1973 book, the 1938-1964 Jeffersons, also 64-83 Kennedys and 71-78 Ikes. It's a fun way to enjoy coins and as a side effect some of them pick up nice toning over the past few years. Edit: @Imthealphaomega - I sent you a PM with my work e-mail address, I work 65-70 hour weeks and checking my home e-mail is hit or miss.

I'm still waiting on pics or an ebay link to see pics. This entire thread holds no excitement without pics!

This thread prompted me to dig out my 1964 to 1980 something Jefferson blue whitman which I have had since the mid 80s. Imagine my surprise to find that it had nice BU coins from 1980 to 1987 for both mints. A couple of the coins were taped in (!!) but some acetone took the residue off.
