Recent pick up from an album set. I believe the toning is original since all the other coins have similar toning but are not as high a grade as this.
I am thinking just shy of MS, what does the membership think?

Thanks! RK

AU55, attractive toning, good eye appeal, slight rim ding @ 9:00 obverse. Should slab full grade. Reverse shows the luster that the obverse toning hides.

Matches up well with an AU58 but not really my area of expertise. Gorgeous coin though, a real looker.

how is the luster? It could be AU53 but go higher if there is enough remaining luster.

@ dsfreeworld, I got the colors almost spot on in the photos, but it is a lot nicer/vibrant in hand. Luster remains when rotated, more so on the reverse. very hard for this novice to capture that.

Nice looking barber. Obverse looks 55 short on luster. Reverse 58. Gotta go with obverse grade so I'm giving going it AU55
