The series is 2017, Atlanta. Starting serial 04216601*. They do still have the band on them. Not sure where we get our USD from, but everything comes in Federally wrapped bricks and it's nice to have first pick at things, except I don't have the bank account to support what I find :( lol

The pack of 2017 $1 Atlanta stars are from run #2, (3.2M). Early in the series, these sell for more than their actual value, and as time goes by, settle in at normal pricing. On the other end of the spectrum is series 2004A $50 New York star with a minuscule print of 64K. Tough note.  Edited by SteveInTampa

I know, BO-RING! But I wanted to show this latest addition to my $1 SC Series 1935 star set. The 1935E is the most common in the entire run, with over 5 billion printed. Even a 66 star is very inexpensive. Just one to go to finish the set!    Edited by Coinfrog

Plucked from circulation years ago, despite the condition I've saved it because the Chicago star run was the smallest of the Barr notes.  |

Great find "Nick10" IMO-when you find a scarce note from the wild- it's often better to keep it rather than go hunting for the same in pristine TPG condition. To me that's what makes collecting fun: the hunt for a scarce note (so why kill that part of it?) |
