Nice find. The 2013 $50 MA* & MK* are both low print run stars. I have one of each in 66EPQ holders, but I also have an MA* found in circulation.

Yes, there were replacement coupons and coupon packs designated with a star back when these were being issued and used. They are harder to find than you might think.

Back then it was use-it-or-lose-it. The vast majority were issued, used and destroyed.

I saw this note in an unlabeled album, then checked to see if it was from a short run and wondered why I bought it.

Then I noticed it was one serial number away from being my birthdate. Duh

I just love the old style notes.
