I would like to see what fellow CCFers think about this one. It was a purchase I made about 15 years ago. Thanks for looking.

Yeah, it's a VAM-5, probably MDS as the reverse is almost PL.

Agreed, looks like there might be the crossing of an S under that O, so worth a closer look. Beautiful coin! High end O/S can be high value these days.

Nice (EDS VAM-3?) 1882-O/S, MS64 with slightly nicked up rims. Beautiful Morgan. I like the die polishing lines on the reverse.

AU-58, I'm seeing wear on the high points and marks in the fields other than bag marks.

I do not see any wear on the cheek, the hair, the tops of the wings, the breast, nor elsewhere; I still think this is a MS63 at worst. Dave might make a fool of me yet, though.

Does it have signs of an old post-vault dip to remove toning in hand dave? How's the luster?

It does not have any of the usual tell-tale signs of being "messed with" and the lustre is decent on the obverse and very nice on the reverse to the tune of semi-PL. I hope the coin is as good as the label indicates but I have no where near the money invested in it so even high AU is a win. I'll reveal the grade this evening.

Semi-attributed, label says O/S.
