I think it might be a new listing. Your coin has a Hardy Index of FL+ "Break extends below the lowest level if the letters in LIBERTY. LDB3-1995-02 is a Hardy Index 3EH "Less than Full".

i just revisited cuds-on-coins site, and realized that for 1995, they list 5 coins. all with the die chips between the B and E. mine has the chip between the I an B (with another small chip - at the bottom left corner of the "B" - not the L). it looks like mine is not listed on their site.

Hi Dan, we have 7 1995 dies listed, 2 Class II-F-3 "IIB" and 5 Class II-F-4 "BIE". See my email in regards to getting it listed as a new listing or a stage 2 of LDB3-1995-02.

Nice find!

Does this mean you have the first reported (discovery) coin?

Congrats on getting it listed.

Die Breaks in LIBERTY on Lincoln Cents became popular for some collectors in the 60's. The BIE MINT ODDITY COLLECTOR"S GUILD was founded by Joseph F. Bush in 1965. The "BIE Handbook" Edited by Howard O Hardy as published in 1972 for the Guild. In this handbook Howard O Hardy developed a schematic method for identifying and classifying Liberty Die Breaks that was called the Hardy Index System. The index was applied to over 1800 illustrations by John Gedko for this handbook. The last illustration in the book was a 1970D. It seems that interest in the Guild and Die Breaks in LIBERTY faded with the passing of Mr. Bush. For whatever reason there seems to be very few Die Breaks in LIBERTY on Lincoln Cents minted in the 70"s and 80's. Then starting in the 90's we started seeing more. In July of 2015 after a thread on BIE's on the Lincoln Cent Forum sparked interest on what some called modern BIE's we started listing Die Breaks in LIBERTY on Lincoln Cents on the Cuds-on-Coins hosted by BJ Neff. One of the objectives is to get a listing of Die Breaks in LIBERTY post 1970.

thanks you for your information.
i have been on this forum since 2008. I was a collector/hoarder/gatherer of coins since the 1960's.

i was aware of some or most of the major varieties.
i became aware of MANY more varieties - after finding coppercoins site. at the time, I believed his site was the holy grail. I still have highest admiration for his body of work and contribution to the body of knowledge.

i have more recently become aware of your site (2OLDJC).
i am currently on overload - as to the amount of information available.

i have a couple of hundred (maybe more) coins that I would like to atribute - and cuds-on-coins is a brand new source for me. (i have MANY coins that seem to match coins that you have photographed and documented - but I cant be certain of the matches).

i have the highest admiratiion for the knowledge - and contribution of information. your knowledge and dedication to this "hobby" almots overwelms me.

i will probably be posting some coins and questions, which are a result of - me finding your site.

my thanks and gratitude to you, your site (and others like it), for providing a place to research and gain knowledge - about this pastime.

thanks - it is a bit of a thrill - being able to contribute to the body of work - in this hobby. this is the only coin that I have found that has gotten any recognized.

i know that error coins are not as important to most collectors as variety coins are - it is stll a "fun find" for me.
