Amazing coin. I know the seller too, as would many.

What an amazing coin. My 1921 has a huge error as they mixed up the last two numbers. Cheers, Bill

I agree, that the 1934 specimen 5-cent is absolutely stunning, struck as the original engravers had envisioned...

Two very nice coins. Both with Belzberg pedigrees. The 1921 was sold as a PCGS MS 66 in that sale.

"We have created scenarios in which even the most recent owner of this coin found terms that created a comfortable scenario to acquire it" Awesome. I could probably swing a few hundred a month. I could be mine! Actually, and I know this is heretical thinking for many, but I really dislike toning. I find that coin very ugly.It would look so much better shiny and new. Perhaps a quick dip...

Yeah, I concur....that toning is "distracting" but let the lovers love it for the "value" it represents, I would park my $175,000 USD somewhere else.

I am by no means a knowledgeable collector of Canadian issues ... but do recognize an outstanding coin.
Best of wishes to whomever might acquire this example.

Given what it realized at the Beckman sale, I'd say there's quite a bit of wiggle room if anyone's interested. Verging on outrageous...
