$40 BIN with 12 shipping (12 shipping is CRAZY)

Terrible scanner pics, worth a risk?

You could probably get your money back if it's not a 1914 D.

No Returns auction and bad picture means move on to a different coin in my book. Not worth the risk.

Yeah , seller is not offering much. no close up photos, no returns, $12 shipping.
Too much risk.

Things I see on ebay and can't see how they stay in business:

--fuzzy pix that give you no idea what the coin really looks like

--pix of just the obverse of the coin--what's up with that?!

--"Seller does not accept returns." Nope, that's not happening for more than about the price of a pizza. I've seen coins that look very different in hand from even high quality pix. I'll pay for the return, but don't make me keep a coin that doesn't look like the picture.

--And, to get back to the OP, I'm not real wild about shipping that goes over about five bucks for an ordinary coin.

Agreed, $12 shipping is excessive for something like this. Bad marks there.
