Last May, at the Spring Coin Expo in Toronto, I bought a few large lots of nickel dollars and nickel 50-cent pieces from several dealers, probably enough to fill a 5 gallon bucket. The majority of those ended up at my bank, but out of a few thousand coins, you find two or three worth grading. Nickel dollars and nickel 50c pieces in bulk lots is my form of CRH (coin roll hunting), for it is the thrill of the hunt, that brings pleasure to the hobby.

This one has to be one of the best coins I have ever found, at face value. A large coin, made of pure nickel, and almost perfect.

I am very happy for you... That's one heckuva nice find esp when these usually get tossed in discount bins it's hard to find one without being all bagged and chattered

Amazing find!
More than just a matter of luck it takes an experienced discerning eye and a knowledge of the series to pick a real winner.
Congrats!

Great piece, amazing this stayed so sharp in a "junk pile". I watched the owner of my LCS get a hundred or so nickel dollars and 50 cent pieces ready to take to the bank the other day and I was tempted to buy them. He had only gone through them looking for specific errors and was not concerned with quality.
