Any thoughts on Trajan's brand new site? No listings yet, but they have a promotion for the first month (should likely be longer).

Hmmm. No listings, no traffic, fees at least as big as ebay and a cumbersome selling process. If someone does find this site, you have to think they are checking ebay as well. So the chances of finding a buyer here that is not going to be found on ebay is very low.

If these guys want to stand a chance they are going to have to compete with something new. Free listing to start is one way, but a one month fee holiday is nowhere near long enough to get this thing going. They should offer 6 months free and then a much lower fee schedule than ebay.

They should have got a couple of friendly parties on side to fill this with some well priced listings to get it started. Also, why on earth use the Trajan brand on the site. Why not Canadian Coin News? The Trajan name does not carry a lot of weight and is not likely to generate traffic in my opinion.

I agree with Smallcentguy points, but overall its a nice site and I agree that the coin community does needs something better then ebay. I think I would prefer something like eCrater where you can create a store rather than a classifies site.

I'm planning on writing a store portion to my website fairly soon, so what kind of features do you think would be nice/need on his site and/or mine?

Well I just listed something, so we shall see!

There are some issues with images in the listing right now.
