durkastani Valued Member United States 452 Posts	Posted 10/09/2015 05:15 am Also, on that previous thread, the coin had heavy flow lines to suggest the VLDS, this one has none. It's exactly the same as the mint mark on that other coin so it's doubtful that this is machine damage either. Maybe they just jacked up the milling program for the mint mark for this particular die? Normally the distortions are at the center of these modern coins but could this be as isolated to a peripheral device without distorting the nearby devices?
