As far as the front pic goes all I see are what appears to be some very slight soft corners on the right end, a mark above the "S" in "Silver" at the top border and a mark above the large blue "V" on the left. There may also be some slight paper crinkling in the field to the left of the large blue "V", too. It could have been pressed out to mitigate it and make the note look better.

It is still a very nice note whatever it grades.

Western sky, thanks for your comments, I compaired the original note with your assement, the marks above s in silver and
Mark above the large blue v on the left are actually the inbeded colored fibers, part of the note, your right it does have a slight soft corner at the very tip and as for the crinkle to the left blue v, I believe what your seeing is the reverse image projecting thru,
All in all you have a good eye for detail. Also we need to remember the scan was converted to a .jpg then converted through the software to fit the side requirements. So that changes things a little. I'll bet if I tried CGA it might grage a little higher.anyway I'm going to hang on to it. Someone mentioned asking the dealer for some credit, I purchased this over 31/2 years ago, it's been to long to expect any type of money back. Thanks all.

I was wondering why I can't find any books about grading us paper money & banknotes.their are lots of books snout how to grade coins but not much at all for currency. Also it seems that coins and banknote values really took a dive back in 2008 along with the rest of the economy, and while the economy rebounded coins & paper money have not. I spoke to a local dealer the other day, and he said currency is so slow he doesn't bother to take any with him when he travels to the big shows.

OP...

You should be able to find each TPG company's grading standards on their websites.

When buying notes (especially expensive ones!) it is good to have a strong LED flashlight available to help you find hidden folds, repairs, etc. The currency doctors are very good at fixing things that may not be readily visible under the naked eye in ambient lighting.

Yeah...three years is a little too long to ask for a refund.

Good luck!

Good tip w/ the flashlight, I guess with the low market for coins and currency its a buyers market!
