I've seen railroad rims, and few of these. I do not know how these are caused and what they are called. (The rim error is in the left hand side and is near the L in Liberty.) Sorry for the bad picture.

Since I've been on this Forum I look at every coin in so much more detail ! It's amazing these type of faults that turn up on coins, and you sure have to look closely to find them! I can see what you mean here, would this be very infrequent to find, say 1/1000 coins?

That's a very nice color clash! Nice find! The obverse doe clashed with the color that puts the reeding on the coin during striking.
