Picked this up for a song while antiquing on vacation. Couldn't believe the price on this coin. It's an upgrade to the one I have and would like to know everyone's thoughts on a grade. Thanks in advance!

The toned reverse I believe is from sitting in a folder. It's much prettier than the picture is showing with blues and golden amber. The luster is amazing, again better than the picture is showing.

MS-64 certainly; maybe -65.
UNLESS
Those marks on Jefferson's shoulder area are handling rubs vs. bag marks; then AU-58.

What are those marks on the reverse? If strike thru, MS63, if not MS61. Bad eye appeal. Get a really nice one for $15.

Rollhunter, Picked it up in an antique store in Florence Colorado while on vacation for $6.99.. Eye appeal is waaaay better in hand. I didn't capture the luster on this one so I will have to reshoot it to give better impression. The reverse is toned beautifully. The only marks on the reverse are the marks under Monticello. A little distracting for sure. But not as bad as the picture is showing. The reverse toning is in blues, light purples and light golden yellow. Thanks for the input!

Great price but I am sure it's got great eye appeal too. You can tell that it is a great coin from your pics. Low MS for me.

Looks MS 64, could be a FS item, if so, then 7 bucks is a steal. Kanga may be right about the possible "rub marks" on the shoulder. Need to see in hand.
Rest in Peace

Picture updated to better reflect the toning on the reverse. It's a beautiful champagne color with some blues and purples hidden in there.
