My dad bought this wheat for me in december of last year for $65. I'm thinking VF-30 ish. What do you think this coin is worth? EDIT: This is also my 3333rd post! Thanks Edited by ChildOfTheWheat 10/11/2015 10:09 pm

I absolutely can't grade small cents. But going off of your VF30 assumption, i'd say your dad did VERY well! Great purchase.

Nice key date coin COTW, don't think it will make VF-30 though, VF-20/25 too much wear on both sides. Your Dad did good though..

I'll say VF-25 , Value: $75-85 retail. the crud around the MM would bother me, I would very carefully try to remove it with a little acetone. but if you see that the color of the coin beneath the crud is different then DON'T continue . IMHO

Looks more VF25ish... I love the look of worn copper, and this is a nice looking coin!

Agree VF-20 (obverse a tad better). I'd say value is around $75. Very attractive!

I can't add anything that hasn't been said. VF 25 at a very attractive price.

Yep, looks VF25 with good eye appeal. $65 was a fair price.
