Has anyone found a commemorative half dollar in a roll? I am not talking about the bicentennial half but other commemoratives. There have been many different types made and you have to figure some have made it into circulation.

I have not. Ive searched a little over 70K in halves and haven't found a silver commemorative. Not sure if I missed any of the 1986 Nation of Immigrants Commemorative since I mostly edge search.

I found the 1936 Long Island Tercentenary half earlier this year.... quite a shock it was! I'd love to find another different one.

I know I am late to post. I found a 1925 St Mountain in a roll earlier this year. I was so shocked I almost missed the other silver halves that were in the roll also.

It was a customer wrapped roll. I bought all 10 or 11 rolls they had and that one roll had 5 40% halves, 1 Franklin, and the St. Mountain coin in it. The other rolls were skunks but that one roll made my day for sure. My computer at home is down but I will try to post a picture of it when I go back into work Monday if I can remember.

Found a few over the years actually...

x2 1893 Columbian Exposition
x1 Booker T Washington
x1 Carver-Washington

The first time I found one was also the largest haul I ever got from 4 boxes, somewhere around 80 halves that night. Oh how I miss roll searching.
