The 1940's Special Deputy Sheriff was issued to Hartford CT Law enforcement. The Noble & Westbrook have been making badges for decades. This badge is in good condition as you can see in the 2 pictures. I have a few other badges, I am not a badge collector I just happened to see a few that were older and still in nice condition.

All the badge collectors I welcome any comments and history on my badge. I also want to acknowledge all the Men and Woman who wear these badges every day with honor. You're respected and your services are appreciated!

I can't help you out with any information on this ... sorry.

But I looked at it, went away, came back, looked again.

So this is my third visit and I just have to say that badge is just great.

Did you just get it recently?

I'm not a badge collector but if I saw that at an estate sale -- it'd be coming home with me.

The badge looks good. The maker was in business from the 1860's through 1940 or so. Too bad that there is no place name on it.
