Hey, so I found something I really like on ebay. A 1922 10 gold certificate, PMG graded 64. Looks good, almost too good. Well naturally I wanted to find out if it was real before I offer the seller an offer. So I send a few questions to him on ebay. First question was if he can send me a few more pictures, and have one with the verification number in the picture. He replied and said the scan is his only pic. Ok, so I ask for the PMG verification number, no replies. I ask again, no replies. All his listings somehow all come without the verification number in the pictures or provided anywhere The one I was talking about: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1922-10-Gol...CHING_ACTIVESo can you guys tell if this note is real or not? Why you think he's ignoring the verification numbers? Plus even with the Verification number, all it verifies is the info on the PMG holder. So is there counterfeit PMG holders or are PMG holders hard to counterfeit? Thanks.

Seller has excellent feedback, offers 14-day returns, and it's in a graded holder. I would only be concerned about the price.

Thank you guys so much for the help. What you guys think I should offer him? I am a young collector so I don't want to be rip off.

Since the seller bought it in September he's not likely to let it go for less than he paid.

Ok and the price that he paid for, is that a fair price for this particular note? And thank you for the help.

This seller sells a lot of seriously high end currency and his reputation is flawless.
You need not be concerned about authenticity.
If you have questions, it is always best to ask them in a single email. It's possible you might think of other questions but it's also a good idea to remember than some sellers simply don't have the patience or the time for many questions, even legitimate questions.

CelticKnot is correct - this is a price issue. If you like it (remember, it's not PPQ), then make a counter and see what happens. I think WheatBack's suggestion of $1,200 is perfect. Remember he will take a fee hit here of up to 12%.

Thank you guys for all the help. I'm gonna send him an offer right starting at 1200. See what happens. Wish me good luck... I really like this note but I don't have much money for this stuff right now...
