Markers are only important if the coin is from the same die.
Cracks/breaks/die scratches mean nothing if the variety isn't there.
The dies go through the same events so it maybe possible for a die to be affected the same way. Die cracks are something to compare side by side because a description die crack on "E" doesn't describe all the different ways the die crack can look like. So a side by side is necessary to be an exact confirmation, only if the hub doubling is present. Find the hub doubling first, then look for markers, not vice versa.
