A reasonably early example of this type. The widely spread digits in the date stand out (curiously, the "8" is doubly punched), as does the spot along the rim where the legends on both sides fade out, which I'm thinking may have occurred due to a flaw in the flan (insufficient material at that one point to fill the dies), although being struck through a foreign substance is also possible (although that material would've had to have gotten onto each die at the exact same point). Weight is right where it should be, and I see nothing about this specimen that would lead me to question its authenticity.
