Just my opinion, but I'd buy this coin if I were in the market. I disagree with the naysayers.

This sale does not appear to be "fishy" or a bad risk. Here's why:
1) The coin is genuine and authentically holdered. I called ANACS and determined that
the cert number is real and matches the coin exactly. Also, the holder is authentic. Up until recently, this was the type of holder ANACS used to house coins with problems ("corroded, cleaned"). Now they use holders similar to their non-problem coin holders.
2) If you use paypal, you have built-in buyer protection. You probably have something close to full buyer protection on your major credit card, and if you don't, you should look for a new credit card.
3) The seller is reputable:
a. The seller has
5787 positive feedbacks and 1 negative since 2003. He does have a few neutrals and feedback-withdrawn-by-mutual-agreement, but I checked Toolhaus and many of the neutral comments look like the buyer was at fault.
b. Also, his photos are good.
c. Most importantly,
nowhere in his 5788 feedbacks is there ever any complaint of the seller sending out counterfeit coins or coins in fraudulent holders.
4) For a problem coin, this one is
very nice for the assigned grade . You couldn't get a problem free example this nice for that kind of money.
The price looks more or less right for a VF20 example of this coin, and this coin looks much prettier than your typical VF20 with no problems.
Plus, it looks like a very pretty coin. I have a gorgeous half dollar (1917-D Obv. MM) that has a tiny notch in the reeding on the reverse. This renders it a "no-grade" coin. But apart from that tiny notch, the coin is AU easy. If it weren't for that notch, the coin would be out of my price range. On
this half-dime, the problems do not appear to be distracting.
Again, just my opinion.
