Interesting question. Looking through my records, it looks like my rarest coin is the '93 50th Anniversary of World War II Commemorative at 317,396, a recent purchase. Although the next one is my '31-S Lincoln at 866,000. I need to start spending bigger bucks if I want to compete with 600!
Rest in Peace

Nelrak - With a small pop, how come the coin isn't worth much more ? The Lincoln 1909-S VDB has a pop of 484k and the MS60 price is about $1500 (PCGS). The 1891 SLQ (pop. 600) in PR60 is about $350. What gives ?

484k coins available with a few million who want one = prices driven up by demand
600 coins that are only collected by maybe a thousand = prices remain relatively low.

I am speculating so I think it was a good pick up. Very rarely do you see them unlike the 09-S VDBs! I have always preferred smaller mintage coins. You have to wonder how many still exist out of the 600?

As LittleBoy said, everyone and their brother collect cents and everyone of those people need the 09-S VDB to complete the set so the demand is high. Luckily, there appears to be plenty to go around for those willing to shell out for one. I am surprised the 31-S is so affordable!

Can't think of any low mintage US coins I have. I guess it'd be:

Marshall Islands 1/2 Dollar & 1 Dollar Silver coins 10,000 mintage

Wow! You guys have some good stuff there. I was pretty excited about my 1885 V nickel and 1921 P and D Mercury dimes until I saw these posts. Now I will go hang my head in shame.

I mostly collect die varieties, which are hard to estimate mintages.
Some of my Canadian coins have mintages of 20-30K.

Of my normal circulated coins, this is listed as mintagse of 100,000.
A 1982 50 Cent from Fiji.

This is also listed as 100,000, but I'm not sure if it was a circulated coin.
A 1981 50 Cent from Bermuda.

My lowest mintage though is a NCLT $1 from Aus. Minted at the Perth Mint last year to celebrate the 50 years of The Special Air Service.
The mintage is 7500 of which 1500 were kept for serving soldiers and 6000 were available for purchase.

Mintage of 48,000. However, I'd be very surprised in more than a few thousand have survived at all, and equally surprised if there were more than a few in this condition:
