Hi kceb10 and

This coin is a Morgan dollar coin, looks to me there is no mint mark so looking at the 2008 Red Book they minted 16,802,000!

As far as grading goes, my inexperienced guess would be VF-20, or very fine, this means...Moderate wear on the high points of the design. All major details are clear. The Value $20

Dont quote me on the grading but I'm sure others will be along to help you out

well an 1890CC in VF is $125

I honestly don't want to venture a grade on this but it is below a VF I think

Ah-ha got it Well that makes a big difference...in Vf-20 its worth $120! And as I read further..VF-20...Two thirds of the hairlines from the top of the forehead to ear visible. Ear well defined. feathers on eagles breast worn.

EF-40 , meaning extremely fine. the definition is.. All hair lines strong and ear bold. Eagles feather all plain but with slight wear on breast and wing tips. Value $185

AU-50 or about uncirculated...SLight trace of wear on the bust shoulder and hair left of forehead, and on eagles breast and top edges of wings.. Value $225

Mintage..2,309,041.

Its a keeper

I'm concerned about all the marks on the obverse. Otherwise, I'd go with VF30 details. Not a bad pick-up for $25.00

Welcome to the forum and hope you enjoy the interactions here!

Nice piece to have in your collection! About $110 in VF. It is a F-VF coin, possible cleaning, unless the lighting is causing the unusualy brightness. If cleaned, I'd drop it to a F, which would lower it's value to maybe $80-90

I am a newbie but here is my 2 cents. There are a lot of little marks on the obverse and noticeable on the face from the first set of pics. I would have still bought this coin if it were I. I noticed one little rim ding on the reverse but I think the coin is still a good buy.

WELCOME.
As already noted it is about VF-something or other. Not a bad coin for that age. Naturally there would be some wear and marks. You would look like that too if you were over 100 years old. And be worth far less. Well worth over $100 and if you were selling on ebay, much more. I suggest you keep it and start a collection of those things.
