oxda71d--- Yes I know that coin that was for sale, and this seller does have very low prices with nice stuff. I bought from this seller a number of times--however the wreath S5 good details is fairly heavily corroded on on each side-aside for the devises that are poking out. And that huge deep cut on the face is Not appealing -I was thinking even to get it but decided that ill wait for a less corroded one to come by. ---The coin that I put up now on the thread is way nicer in my opinion-even with some pitting issue on the rev. AG is hard to come by with a full date-- that's why I said AG+ but details with rev pitting that are normal for the grade. AG level smooth No problems ?-- $1900. Yup that's the latest price on MPGS price guide list-- . ( Vermont ! Yes they are and there with big problems and extreme corroded coins. Thank u for your guys input

I just looked through every single thread you started, and I posted in about 25% of them, each time giving an honest opinion of the coin at hand. I did not see one instance where I was telling you off or attacking you. Don't get me wrong, you have a very nice collection that I am envious of and will probably never obtain. And, as I said, I appreciate your enthusiasm for this specialized field. I am trying to not start a fight. Edit: I found this ONE post: https://goccf.com/t/212000&whichpage=2#2022756I'll admit, maybe I was a little to harsh and maybe was having a bad day. But still, how is this "numerous" and a "brainless attack?"

My opinion would be close to if not reaching the g level for detail alone. The problem however is the pits and corrosion. Yes it's 1700 something and deserves some slack but if graded it'd be netted to ag details from my experience submitting a lot, maybe even fr on just one of those days every one hates and why the grading services take heat. For what it is its a nice example, however coins like that attract big money usually and they shy away from ones looking like that.

I generally don't like to post previous whereabouts of other's coins on rare chance I come across one but this same coin sold at Heritage last month. For those counting, it was in a PCGS G details (enviro dam.) slab.

I'm glad you did OLCoins. Proves my point. PCGS gave it G details/97 Again, FR2 money given the environmental damage. I've bought and sold a few of these over 30 years and this one sold at Heritage minus the buyers fees for FMV IMHO. It would have been better off left in the slab for the long term market gains..though.

How about that ! G4 details-like I thought. But why for Fair2 money Vermont ? The coin is decent, its not holed or deliberately damaged or cleaned. It nets AG3 nice with a full date--its a ok coin-and I liked it -there will be another to like it when I sell it. People like coins like this raw out of the plastic cage-so to speak. Thank u guys for bringing up the Heritage lot

Quote: I've bought and sold a few of these over 30 years and this one sold at Heritage minus the buyers fees for FMV IMHO. Can you please clarified this. Are you saying that minus the buyers fees at Heritage is a FMV on most all purchase or that this one is over bid in your opinion.

I think 1k is a good price for this coin. The clarity of Liberty's portrait and the reverse detail despite the pitting are nice plusses. I think if you chose to resell it, it wouldn't take you very long to sell it for what you paid.

Problem free G4 has strong bid support at the 2500-2750 level.
1000 bucks for a severely defective Fair is not entirely unreasonable, perhaps a slight bit high. I don't think CQR is adequate here to cover coins that make scudzy look PQ.
