What ever circulated wheat cents are worth.

The pin that forms the center of that device has broken off. The 1950's wheat dies were way over used. Every coin after yours struck would have the same problem. So it is not a one time occurrence. It was struck by a tired die.

Are these still considered BIE's?

I would say no because there no chip between the "B" and "E". Just a broken post. This die may have survived to retirement without a chip in that location.

Not a BIE and worth less than five cents.

The reason I asked is that I remember bj saying that any die chip in the BE are was a bie. It was from a thread a month or two ago about a crazy diagonal chip going through liberty I think.

But the filled B is a post break rather than an actual chip which was my conundrum

a BIE is a die chip between the B and the E.
