If the bottom looks like it may have 2 different splits, it may be #28 but keep in mind that coppercoins has several '59-D RPM #'s that are not yet represented by a picture(s).

Very Nice Find!

Not a expert

I would also say a rpm-018 but not 100% sure as you can see some differences...

So the rpm-018 does match appear to perfect as a overlay but on a side by side they have some differences..

SjlundCoin coin appears to have more pronounced bottom notching and a apart of the d comes out the north. on the other coin it appears to go south.

Is that just cause the diagonal wear on the mint mark making the higher relief cause it to appear one way or the other? or a different rpm? beyond my novice knowledge

That is not the same die number. He means Wexler's 1960-D WRPM-018. (The split serif on top is nothing like the coppercoins one.

The Wexler 018 Is too far south and there is a lower rotated mark on it. I don't see a match in John's files for this die yet. I find this one interesting because of the lower serif that follows up to the corner then turns east. But so far nothing like that.

Thanks guys!

I found a few off them in a OBW roll. I'll file them away for now.

These are a comparison to WRPM-018. The last photo is an overlay.

While they may appear very close, I see the upper serifs are different. (split is different)

The curve is different on the upright. (WRPM-018s vertical is curved, the OPs is vertical)

The lower inside mark of a rotated is on the WRPM-018. That is not present on the OP's image.

Slightly different die states, because overlay's line up correctly.
