I just found this in my junk silver and thought I'd take another look at it.

What do you all think? Melt value is under $0.47 USD (€0.43), but I have found these going for $10-$20. From what I have gathered, mintage is 5,000,000.

Not to ruin all of your expectations, but this is common European junk silver. It's too worn to be worth anything more than melt value, really. I can imagine less worn specimens to be worth up to $20.

In this quality, this coin you can buy under 2$ in the Netherlands.
When having a uncirculated one, value will increase over 100$.

I have a bit of a Netherlands collection and these can be found very cheap. That being said, it's common to see them on ebay or even at shows and coin stores here in North America with hugely inflated prices, but they don't sell.
