Hey guys. I was wondering if anybody had a close up picture of this variety to show me? I looked at a coin over the weekend that was labelled as such but the doubling wasn't as pronounced as I expected it to be. Thanks

Sorry Devlec I should have been more clear. I'm looking for a picture of the slender over wide 8 variety. Your coin is the wide 8 variety and as beautiful as it is, I don't believe that it's what I'm looking for.

OK..So my example is either p. 282 or 285,...(wide over small) example..

...and you are looking for p. 381 or 384 from the back pages of the 2010 Charlton...( which is actually Die Deterioration in the 8 )

Hopefully we will see a few other examples to better view these varieties.

It's not a variety, it's Die Deterioration.

Die Deterioration is progressive so there can be no defining photo as each coin will have a different stage of deterioration. The pics in the 2010 Charltons along with the explanation on page 380 should be sufficient for identification.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...
