Besides collecting "everything" I decided I want to do a side set of error coins. Looking around at the various errors I decided coins struck on the wrong planchet was what I would focus on. I have had a cent struck on a dime for a little while.

Today my nickel struck on a cent showed up in the mail.

Now I need to track down a dime, quarter, half, and dollar.

Awesome. Good luck with those that will be a neat little set. You should include double denominations in the future . Although those are expensive. Like a sacagawea mule coin

Your dime will have to be struck on a foreign planchet.

I like to have a variety of images on hand. You never know what question will be asked next. (about 79 images short of 4500 right now)

Not necessarily. Have fun looking for your dime over Half Dime or dime over 3 cent planchet!

I figured the dime would be the tough one to find, but i'll get one eventually.

Coop had to go and post up some serious errors to make me drool. If I had unlimited funds I would buy that Indian head on a quarter eagle, but alas the bank account doesn't have enough zeros in it.

These off metals are at heritage all the time. Common configurations seem to bring in the low to mid hundreds while the better ones can go for moon money. Good luck, I can't wait to see the collection in a year
